Here is my nail art
The nail polish was actually orange and not at all yellowy as it looks in the picture
The pumpkin finger was a different orange from the other ones

lo smalto che avevo usato è arancio e per niente tendente al giallo come sembra nelle foto

L'unghia con la zucca era un arancione diverso dalle altre 

On the right and I didn't really have the time to finish off , but I think it still looked good

Sulla mano destra non avevo avuto il tempo di finire, ma secondo me andava bene lo stesso

La nail art che ho fatto per la piccola J due anni fa

In time for Halloween...

The nail art I realized for little J two years ago 

 

Le foto sono bruttissime perchè io non sono molto brava, ma credo che si riesca a vedere che sono tanti piccoli ragni e qualche ragnatela.

Mi piacciono molto gli occhietti rossi :)

Pictures are really bad because I am not really good at taking them, but I think you can see there are little spiders and cobwebs.

I love the tiny red eyes :)  

La base bianca era coperta da uno smalto che si illumina al buio, ma non sono riuscita a fare una foto al buio in cui si vedessero le unghie :(

The white base was covered with a glow in the dark nail polish, but I wasn't able to take a picture in the dark :(

... and a few days later...

My sister and I didn't have much spare time in the morning so I only managed to put on her nails a coat of nude polish as a base for the design and very quickly show her on one nail what I wanted to do.

... e qualche giorno dopo...

Io e mia sorella non abbiamo avuto molto tempo libero al mattino perciò sono solo riuscita a stendere una passata di smalto nude come base per la nail art e molto velocemente farle vedere su un'unghia che cosa volevo fare.

After we managed to pick up the kids from school, take them to the school fair, cook dinner and feed them, give them a bath, put the little one to sleep,...
We finally managed to go back to the nails

Dopo essere andate a prendere i bimbi a scuola, averli portati alla 'fiera della scuola' (non credo esista qualcosa di simile qui in Italia), aver cucinato, dato loro cena, averli lavati, messo il piccolino a nanna,...

Siamo finalmente riuscite a tornare alle unghie 

Little J obviously wanted to have little pandas on her tiny nails too.
I started from her so it wouldn't get to late for her to go to sleep, and my sister managed to get a few shots (that I absolutely love) of the work in progress

La piccola J ovviamente voleva i panda anche sulle sue piccole unghie.

Ho cominciato da lei cosicchè non diventasse troppo tardi per lei, e mia sorella nel frattempo ha fatto qualche foto (che io adoro) mentre lavoravo

And here is a picture of the result on my sister nail, unfortunately we didn't think of taking a close-up that night and the following morning she left :(

E qui c'è una foto del risultato sulle unghie di mia sorella, sfortunatamente non abbiamo pensato di fare una foto più da vicino quella sera e il mattino dopo lei è ripartita :(

 

Twentyone - Ventuno

During that two weeks she spent with me, I managed to try something on my sister's nails.
Don't look at her actual nails, they look horrible! She refused to let me do something about that, didn't even let me use a file -.-'

Durante quelle due settimane che ha passato con me sono riuscita a provare qualcosa sulle unghie di mia sorella.

Non guardate le unghie, sono orribili! Si è rifiutata di lasciarmele mettere un po' a posto, non mi ha neanche lasciato usare una lima -.-'

I'm not really sure about the design.. I loved the idea, but not the result.. Maybe it would have been better with smaller circles..
What do you think?

Non sono molto convinta di questo disegno.. Mi piaceva molto l'idea, ma non il risultato.. Magari sarebbe venuto meglio con dei cerchi più piccoli..

The grey nail polish is again the one from H&M, and this time I checked the name, I got it a little wrong in the last post.. It is called 'miss stone heart'

Lo smalto grigio è di nuovo quello di H&M, e stavolta ho controllato il nome. L'ho sbagliato nell'ultimo post.. Si chiama 'miss stone heart'

June 2011.. I was living in UK..

I gave my little sister plane tickets as a birthday present..

She stayed with me for two weeks and we had the most amazing time together (even though I was working)

I can't believe it's already been two years..

Giugno 2011.. Io vivevo in UK..

Regalai il biglietto aereo alla mia sorellina per il suo compleanno..

Lei rimase con me per due settimane e ci divertimmo moltissimo insieme (anche se io lavoravo)

Non riesco a credere che siano già passati due anni..

I needed something quick to do on my nails, the crackle effect was still kind of new and it was very difficult to find in Italy at the time. My sister had never seen anything like that and she loved it (and so did I!)

Avevo bisogno di qualcosa di veloce da fare sulle unghie, l'effetto crackle era ancora abbastanza nuovo e molto difficile da trovare in Italia. Mia sorella non aveva mai visto niente del genere e le piacque molto (anche a me!)

The one with the book and the one with me eating a dessert were taken in Hyde Park on a very sunny sunday afternoon.. It was a wonderful day! I really miss London.. There's no park where people can just go and lie down in the sun here in my little town :(

Quella con il libro e quella in cui mangio un dolce sono state scattate in Hyde Park un'assolata domenica pomeriggio.. Era una giornata stupenda! Mi manca molto Londra.. Non c'è nessun parco dove la gente possa sdraiarsi a prendere il sole nella mia piccola città :(

I used an H&M grey polish (I think the name is 'stone heart') and a Barry M blue crackle effect polish

Ho usato uno smalto grigio della H&M (credo che si chiami 'stone heart') e uno smalto ad effetto crackle azzurro della Barry M

I still love this colour combination!!

17 febbraio

February the 17th..
Three years ago I left my house and family to go on an adventure..
I was really nervous but even more excited =))
I spent two and a half years in a new country
I met amazing people from all around the world
I had so much fun
I loved and was loved back like I didn't even know it was possible
I laughed really hard
I cried my eyes out
I visited so many new places
I learnt
I taught
I fell in love
I sang
I danced
I had my heart broken in a thousand little pieces

It was the best and the worst period of my life
